..Children's Books in Rotterdam..

With friends we had a coffee at the new 'de kleine kapitein' ( the small captain) children's bookshop in Rotterdam. It moved to the Botersloot a very nice neighbourhood near the market with cute small shops. The shop has a great interior space and super decoration. Parents can drink a coffee and children's have a play corner.

Of course they also sell books and toys. Which is tempting. So we had a look around and found some great children's books. My favourite, 'He watch out, I am not you grandmother! by Bette Westera, a Dutch book with beautiful illustrations from Sylvia Weve. It is about older people in a care home. Of course they were not always old and this is told in a funny way. ( shown under in the righthand corner)
